Job summary

Servus Credit Union is seeking a Finance Research and Policy Specialist to join our Accounting team. This remote role requires quarterly in-person meetings in Calgary or Edmonton; Alberta preference but nationwide candidates are considered.

The incumbent will support IFRS research, ICOFR controls, and regulatory reporting. You will analyze new transactions, draft position papers and memos, and help develop accounting policies and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving in IFRS contexts.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Able to adapt to evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of IFRS, regulatory requirements and emerging standards.
• Assess and communicate the financial reporting impact of changes in IFRS and regulations.
• Prepare accounting position papers, memos, and supporting documentation.
