Varsity Tutors is seeking a remote HSPT Language Skills tutor to help eighth-grade students prepare for Catholic high school admissions tests. You can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and work from home.

Earn up to $40/hour with incremental pay as you tutor the same student, and receive payments up to twice per week. The platform offers AI-assisted tools to support your teaching and handles logistics so you can focus on tutoring.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of HSPT Language Skills including punctuation, capitalization, usage, spelling and composition for grades 8.
• Ability to explain grammar rules and standard English conventions.
• Experience adapting instruction to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions via Varsity Tutors platform.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests and adjust to student needs.
• Deliver personalized instruction and help students improve test readiness.
