Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking a dedicated HSPT Language Skills tutor to help eighth grade students master punctuation, spelling, grammar, and composition. You will conduct 1-on-1 online sessions, design targeted practice, and adapt methods to student needs in a flexible, remote working environment.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of HSPT Language Skills including punctuation, capitalization, usage, spelling, and composition for eighth grade.
• Ability to explain grammar rules, standard English conventions, and paragraph construction principles tested on the HSPT Language section.
• Familiarity with practice tests, grammar rule review materials, and targeted writing exercises to support skill strengthening.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Offer on-demand tutoring sessions when available and invoice for services.
