Job summary

Strada is seeking an HRFS Analyst (Virtual - Canada) to support payroll accounting, funding, and financial analysis for clients in Canada and the United States. You will ensure accurate payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting across borders, collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Based in Canada, the role emphasizes governance, controls, and audits, with opportunities to improve processes and automation.

Qualifications

• Accounting experience required with hands-on payroll accounting in Canada and the U.S.
• Understanding of payroll accounting processes and financial requirements in Canada and the U.S.
• Payroll finance reporting, funding, or reconciliation experience preferred.
• 1–3 years experience using Workday or similar payroll/ERP system.
• Strong GL accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll-to-GL reconciliations for Canadian and U.S. populations.
• Prepare bank and funding reconciliations and clear reconciling items.
• Analyze variances, discrepancies, and compliance issues; suggest resolutions.
• Assist with journal vouchers, reclassifications, and GL impact analyses.
• Support audits and provide timely information and documentation.
