Ovation Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented professional to follow up on insurance claims, break down obstacles to payment, and accelerate cash collections from home. The role requires hospital billing experience and knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG.

Qualifikationen

• Must adapt and demonstrate the ability to work independently from home in a fast-paced, changing and goal-oriented environment.
• Direct account follow-up and/or billing experience.
• Medical Terminology, ICD-10, CPT and DRG knowledge.
• Intermediate experience in Excel preferred.

Aufgaben

• Follow up on accounts in assigned inventory and collect on claims.
• Escalate unresolved claims to supervisor when needed.
• Document client host system using 5 W’s framework and copy notes into workflow tool.
• Assign status codes in workflow tool for trend analysis.
• Write first and second level appeals of denials to secure payment.
• May handle underpayments as assigned by Management.
• Maintain daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Research and analyze related correspondence.
