Job summary

Matrix is seeking an experienced Haul Truck Driver for a remote mining site near Bathurst Inlet, Nunavut. The role involves fly-in/fly-out rotation with 12-hour shifts on a 3 weeks in / 3 weeks out schedule and seasonal engagement.

• Experience operating haul trucks in mining or industrial settings.
• Strong commitment to safety and site procedures.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a haul truck in mining, construction, and industrial settings.
• Transport materials per site procedures and requirements.
• Follow safety policies, traffic control, PPE, and equipment guidelines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues promptly.
• Monitor site conditions and weather; adapt as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, spotters, and site personnel.
• Operate equipment to support daily production and targets.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and serviceable.
• Follow environmental, operational, and site procedures at all times.
• Report incidents, hazards, near misses, and equipment concerns immediately.
• Attend safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site training.
• Perform other related equipment operation and site support duties.
