Pathfinders leads a networked coalition of local affiliates and non-profit charities spread across Canada. Our mission at Pathfinders is to enable people to process their life journey through conversation, sharing life stories, exploration of meaning, discovery of ancient Bible texts and inter-faith dialogue.
Pathfinders, an online learning agency, is hiring website editors, Internet Technicians and Digital Marketing Specialists with priority foreign language skills for summer positions funded by Canada Summer Jobs. The successful applicants will have written fluency in one or more of the languages listed below as well as be conversant in English. The jobs will require proof-reading, fixing, and editing WordPress website articles that have been translated into the priority language using an AI translation system.
Successful applicants will be trained in WordPress and the tasks will require them to format webpages, check and edit hypertext links, embed A/V content into webpages, update menus, develop downloadable PDF documents, build Google Ads. Working as part of an online team with others providing technical support they will also develop Google Ads and edit YouTube video subtitles in their specific language. Applicants will be expected to attend weekly online team meetings (with camera on), report on their work process and track hours and tasks completed.
8 or 16 weeks in the April – August period.
The project is remote-based so work can be done from any location within Canada.
Minimum wage rate in province of residence
These positions are funded by Canada Summer Jobs, which limits eligibility to applicants between 15 – 30 years of age who are Permanent Residents, Citizens of Canada or those with refugee status. International Students or those with foreign work permits are not eligible.
