Job summary

GitLab, the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, is seeking a Fullstack Engineer for the Duo Client SDK team. You will build the shared foundation for every GitLab Duo client, working in TypeScript across frontend and backend systems, designing the SDK’s Node.js core and public API, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You’ll own the implementation of scoped packages, ship improvements with minimal guidance, and help evolve the architecture with senior and staff

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript across frontend and backend systems.
• Experience building and maintaining Node.js services.
• Experience with Vue 3 and the Composition API or comparable frontend experience.
• Experience designing APIs that other people use.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested, and performant TypeScript features for moderate scope problems.
• Ship small features with minimal guidance and contribute to code reviews and design discussions.
• Extract and publish TypeScript packages from the GitLab Language Server, migrating consumers incrementally.
• Design durable public APIs with clear interfaces and semantic versioning.
