Job summary

UST is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and modern cloud-native architectures on AWS. You will collaborate with frontend and data teams to deliver robust APIs, databases, and containerized deployments in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

Role Location: Remote - Canada. The ideal candidate has strong Node.js, AWS, IaC experience and can contribute to architecture discussions, CI/CD, and security practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Node.js is a must-have skill.
• AWS expertise including Step Functions, Lambdas, ECS, API Gateway.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Node.js.
• Build and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway).
• Develop and implement IaC to automate cloud provisioning and management.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for performance and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain Docker-based containerized apps and orchestration on ECS/Fargate.
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React) and data engineering for pipelines and processing.
