Job summary

Outlier is seeking fluent English speakers to help train generative AI models, including voice, image, and video tasks. This freelance, remote opportunity offers flexible hours and wants detail-oriented contributors who can communicate clearly.

You will rate model outputs, compare prompts and media, and provide written explanations in English. A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, and applicants should have a quiet workspace and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong, clear written communication and comfortable with natural everyday conversational speech.
• Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree or above.
• Strong attention to detail with patience to listen closely, replay, or zoom in when something seems off.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which one better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering, or misaligned audio.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific explanation in English.
