Job summary

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is seeking a Financial Specialist II to develop, refine and maintain financial reporting systems to ensure MOH compliance. You will provide analysis and reports on the hospital's financial data and advise senior management on variances with actionable insights.

This primarily remote role supports LHSC's mission in Ontario, with a 37.5-hour work week and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Minimum three (3) years of recent, related experience required
• Ability to synthesize innovative approaches to data analysis, interpretation and communication
• Ability to define the information and analysis needs of hospital leaders and Ministry officials
• Knowledge of Ministry of Health hospital reporting requirements and standards
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, PeopleSoft, nVision, Hyperion and OBI
• Demonstrated excellence in quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluation.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills with all levels of staff including ability to communicate complicated financial information to clinical leaders
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Develops, refines and maintains financial reporting systems to ensure MOH compliance
• Provides analysis, interpretation and reports related to the hospital's financial data in comparison with MOH data
• Advises hospital senior management regarding variances of significant operational and financial impact and reviews proposed business plans
