Job summary

Scotiabank in Alberta is seeking a Financial Planner to develop and deepen client relationships by delivering high-quality investment and financial planning advice to the mass affluent market. You’ll leverage your external networks and centres of influence to grow a practice, with flexibility to meet clients outside the office.

You will drive investment sales within a comprehensive planning framework, build business opportunities, and participate in local events to expand your network.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales.
• MFDA licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
• Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation and/or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deepen client relationships by providing client-centric investment solutions within a financial planning framework.
• Promote business development plans and identify opportunities within the mass affluent market.
• Participate in local professional events and community engagements to grow the network and referrals.
