Job summary

Serefin is seeking a motivated Finance Business Analyst to join its Finance team. Remote, permanent full-time role reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. You will deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis to support strategic decisions across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA designation in progress or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of accounting, financial analysis and reporting experience.
• Experience with complex ownership structures.
• Independent preparation and filing of T2 corporate tax returns.
• SRED experience is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite, Expensify and Payworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities, including consolidated reporting.
• Perform monthly reconciliations, accruals, and GL analysis.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages with variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Analyze performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and advise management.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and reports to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to understand business drivers and provide insights.
• Assist in improving financial processes, reporting and internal controls.
• Support audits with working papers and auditor requests.
