Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA in Dubreuilville, Ontario is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead the food service department at a remote site on a Fly-In/Fly-Out rotation. You will supervise kitchen staff, manage budgets and inventory, ensure HACCP and health/safety compliance, coordinate purchasing, training, and scheduling, and maintain excellent client communications to deliver top service during every shift.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP diploma in Hospitality Administration, Food Services, Nutrition, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in large-scale food service or restaurant management, including 3 years in a management role.
• Strong leadership, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of associates within the food service department while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, hygiene, HACCP, and government regulations.
• Manage food stocks, purchasing, inventory, product costs, and budgets to avoid shortages.
• Conduct orientation and training for culinary staff and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain equipment and oversee work orders; report defects and ensure safe operations.
• Plan events and group functions; maintain excellent client communications.
• Supervise staff to uphold sanitary standards in all serving and storage areas.
• Record staff hours and manage scheduling, overtime, and crew changes.
