Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Network Services Lead to own the corporate network, balancing on-prem and cloud connectivity, security, and scale. You will guide a team of engineers, drive automation, and partner with architecture, security, and cloud teams to deliver dependable networking across Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, strong vendor management, and incident leadership, with remote work options and occasional office visits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise network operations
• 5+ years leading or directing a network operations team in a large, complex environment
• Strong experience with network design, connectivity services, and security across on-premises and cloud environments
• Proven track record managing ISPs, telecom carriers, and other vendors, including service levels and escalations
• Solid grounding in structured incident, problem, and change management, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments, including Azure networking and business-critical services

Responsibilities

• Direction and Standards: set the plan for network operations, standards, policies, and ways of working that support security, uptime, and business needs
• Running the Network: keep the network available and performing well, run incident/problem/change/recovery processes, and improve delivery
• Technical Leadership: act as senior technical authority for LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, Azure networking, Fortinet security, and enterprise connectivity; coach engineers
• Vendors and Partners: manage relationships with ISPs, telecom carriers, and third parties to ensure reliable connectivity and SLAs
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with infrastructure, cloud, security, and business teams to deliver fit-for-purpose network services
• Leadership & People: lead, coach, and develop the network engineers on the team
