Job summary

Grainger Canada invites applications for the Manager, District Sales to lead the District’s sales plan, develop a capable team, and drive growth in the Kamloops and Lower Mainland BC areas. The role combines field leadership with a remote-base arrangement, reporting through the District Sales structure.

You will oversee budgets, territory planning, and customer engagement while ensuring adherence to Grainger’s ethics and safety standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation with focus on Sales & Marketing Management.
• Several years of successful selling and sales management experience.
• Experience supervising a large sales force.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Computer literate/training.
• Proven ability to make decisions within defined limits.
• Role may require visiting customer sites and complying with site screening policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a motivated, competent sales team to achieve district goals.
• Lead professional development and training of the Sales Force.
• Assist Regional Director with district sales plan development and execution.
• Set priorities and action plans with the Regional Director.
• Establish sales budgets and customer territory lists by rep.
• Ensure sales penetration, market share and GM% growth targets are met.
• Review progress vs budget quarterly and adjust as needed.
• Uphold Grainger's Code of Ethics across the district.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers and Sales Representatives to meet customer needs.
• Perform other district sales manager duties.
