Job summary

Alteo seeks an experienced DevOps engineer for a permanent role in Montreal. The position offers 80% remote work with one in-office day per week.

You will design quality infrastructure in Azure/AWS, streamline development and deployment, and implement the right technologies to empower fellow developers. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / College Diploma in IT or equivalent.
• 5+ years hands-on DevOps in cloud-native environments.
• Kubernetes cluster management and operations experience.
• Terraform infrastructure as code experience.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (Azure DevOps, Argo CD).
• Azure cloud services, architecture, and multi-tenant SaaS experience.
• PostgreSQL and MSSQL database experience.
• Linux, Git, Docker, and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Security implementations (Azure KeyVault, RBAC, compliance frameworks).
• Grafana/Prometheus in Kubernetes environments; monitoring & observability.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes) advantageous.
• IPM tooling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and remove blockers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in coordination with development teams.
• Manage access controls, security compliance, and implement security best practices across environments.
• Manage development, staging, and production environments supporting multiple clients.
• Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and security with proactive recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and implement corrective measures.
• Optimize Azure cloud resource usage to control operational costs.
