Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Dayforce Test Lead for a 1-year contract. You will build test plans across Dayforce modules, lead various testing types, and ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance while coordinating with analysts, developers, and end users.

This remote role requires occasional office visits to collaborate with the team and ensure successful delivery of an enterprise-wide Dayforce implementation.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Dayforce WFM/HCM modules and 3+ years in a QA lead role.
• Experience in Dayforce implementation or upgrade projects.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Smartsheet or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and scripts across Dayforce modules.
• Define testing scope, objectives and timelines aligned with project milestones.
• Lead functional, integration, regression and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and end users to validate requirements and resolve defects.
• Manage test environments and test data; log and prioritize defects with Smartsheet.
• Facilitate defect triage meetings and guide QA team on best practices.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress and provide status updates to stakeholders.

• Validate payroll calculations, compliance rules and third-party integrations.

We're Hiring a Dayforce Test Lead for a 1-year contract!

What You'll Be Doing

Dexterra Group is into the process of an enterprise-wide implementation of Dayforce. The contract Dayforce Test Lead is vital tohelp us deliver a smooth, accurate, and well-executed implementation.

• Build and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts across Dayforce modules (Payroll, Workforce Management, Benefits, Scheduling, and more).
• Define clear testing scope, objectives, and timelines that support project milestones.
• Lead functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and end users to validate requirements and resolve defects.
• Manage and maintain test environments and test data.
• Log, track, and prioritize defects using tools (such as Smartsheet).
• Facilitate defect triage meetings and help keep issue resolution on track.
• Mentor and guide QA team members on best practices and standard processes.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide ongoing status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure testing meets organizational, audit, and regulatory standards.
• Validate payroll calculations, compliance rules, and integrations with third-party systems.

**This is a Remote role but you will need to come into our office from time to time to meet with the team.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Solidknowledge of Dayforce WFM/HCM modules, plus 3+ years in a QA lead role.
• Previous involvement in Dayforce implementation or upgrade projects.
• Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools (Smartsheet or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Bonus points for

• Experience with automation tools.
• Knowledge of HR/Payroll compliance regulations.
• Project Management designation.
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• QA certification.
