Toptal, a global network of top talent, is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer. You will own the data transformation layer, govern data quality, model data structures, document data lineage, and build AI-enabled data pipelines.

You will partner with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to deliver trustworthy data for analytics and decision making. The role emphasizes SQL fluency, independent thinking, and collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 4+ years shipping production data models.
• Expert SQL and Python.
• Fluency with LLMs and agentic tools.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery/Snowflake).
• Knowledge of modern transformation frameworks (dbt, Dataform, SQLMesh).
• Git fluency and code review practices.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Data governance, quality, security and lineage experience.
• BI tools knowledge (Tableau, Power BI).

Responsabilidades

• Design, write, review and ship SQL models across our repositories.
• Proactively work with Data Engineers to add data sources and publish in the warehouse.
• Monitor the data warehouse and derive insights to improve quality and usability.
• Turn ambiguous business asks into modeled data and define business rules.
• Improve data quality, lineage, and access controls across sources.
• Own the data dictionary and documentation for AI agents and humans.
• Diagnose and resolve data incidents.
• Review teammates’ code to maintain warehouse hygiene.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Data Scientists and process owners to enable data-driven decisions.
• Improve agent playbooks, docs and tooling for faster delivery.
