Job summary

gl in Summerside, Canada, is seeking an Overhead Door Technician to install overhead door systems and provide maintenance on existing systems. This is a full-time contract position with potential to convert to permanent employment based on performance and attendance. Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous overhead door technician or hands-on mechanical work experience.
• Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with basic power tools.
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
• Fall arrest & elevated work platform certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead sectional and rolling steel door systems and components.
• Perform service calls to diagnose and repair existing systems, replacing or adjusting components.
• Use a variety of power tools including drills, skillsaws, and grinders.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and production procedures.

We're working with an Island-based garage and commercial overhead door specialist to recruit an Overhead Door Technician. The successful candidate will install new door systems and provide maintenance on existing systems. This is a full-time contract position expected to convert to permanent employment based on performance and attendance. If you're mechanically-oriented, a skilled troubleshooter, and looking for an opportunity to further develop your skills,, this is the role for you. THE JOB
