Job summary

Bank of Montreal is seeking a Customer Shared Services specialist focused on collections, customer needs, and payment strategies. You will review delinquent and high-risk accounts, advise on optimal payment plans, and deliver high-quality service in line with policy.

With 3–5 years in collections and a related post-secondary degree, you will analyze data, report insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize losses while protecting customers' interests.

Qualifications

• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Credit Qualifications and related laws/regulations in Consumer Collections.

Responsibilities

• Reviews delinquent, high-risk, or written-off accounts to determine collections opportunities.
• Advises customers on payment strategies and product options that meet their objectives.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and builds trust through expertise and responsiveness.
• Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to optimize the collections life cycle.
