Job summary

Ultreia Tech is building a new FinOps practice and seeks a Cloud FinOps Specialist to lead cost optimization for large enterprise clients. You’ll own assessments, quantify waste, and present actionable, dollar-valued recommendations to CIOs and IT leaders.

This fully remote role in Canada requires hands-on Azure and FinOps experience, with a focus on cost governance, licenses, and scalable solutions. You’ll shape methodologies and deliverables as a founding member of the practice.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in cloud, cloud operations, or cloud engineering with cost-management exposure.
• Deep Azure expertise, Azure Cost Management, billing exports, reservations and savings plans, tagging, and governance.
• Portable cost reasoning; ability to defend cost conclusions to CIOs and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Run cloud cost assessments for enterprise clients, quantify the waste and find the levers.
• Extend cost discipline to SaaS and software spend, license rightsizing and cleanup.
• Translate findings into prioritized, dollar-quantified recommendations for finance and IT stakeholders.
• Own optimization mandates end to end: rightsizing, reservations and savings plans, tagging, anomaly detection, and governance.
