Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Lead FinOps Specialist to manage cloud financial operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will collaborate with Development, Finance, FP&A, Procurement, Engineering, Product, and leadership to turn cloud usage into actionable financial insights.

You will lead forecasting, budgeting, governance, and cost optimization initiatives, delivering dashboards and strategic recommendations to executives to guide cloud investments and maturity.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years FinOps for senior role; 12–15+ for principal.
• Hands-on cloud spend mgmt across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Influence across Engineering, Finance, Procurement.
• Thorough understanding of cloud billing constructs & levers.
• Demonstrated financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting & analysis.
• Experience with cloud cost management platforms.
• Advanced Excel, SQL, and BI tool capabilities.
• Translate cloud usage into business insights.
• Proven change leadership & adoption of new processes.
• Strategic thinking to shape FinOps maturity.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide cloud cost optimization initiatives.
• Drive rightsizing, storage optimization, and savings strategies.
• Build forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Align cloud spend with FP&A plans.
• Implement controls, alerts, and anomaly detection.
• Design showback/chargeback models; define governance.
• Establish tagging standards and FinOps policies.
• Deliver executive dashboards and strategic reports.
• Promote cost-aware practices across product teams.
