Job summary

TEEMA is seeking an Onboarding Cloud Accountant for Canada, based in North York, Ontario. The role centers on leading client onboarding engagements, developing plans, and optimizing cloud accounting systems in a fast-paced remote environment.

You will review records, perform clean-up projects, and coordinate across stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions to ongoing service. CPA is an asset but not required, with 5+ years in cloud accounting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Canadian cloud accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online and cloud accounting technology experience.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Fast-paced remote environment suitability.
• Experience with not-for-profit organizations is a plus.
• CPA designation is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead client onboarding engagements from kickoff through transition to ongoing service.
• Develop onboarding plans, timelines, and client action items.
• Review, reconcile, and organize historical accounting records.
• Configure and optimize cloud accounting systems and related applications.
• Coordinate onboarding activities across stakeholders.
• Prepare onboarding documentation, SOPs, and transition summaries.
• Monitor onboarding timelines, metrics, and project status; identify bottlenecks.
• Analyze onboarding workload and support capacity planning.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and support sales tax compliance.
• Use AI and technology tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
