Job summary

Altinity, the home of ClickHouse experts, is seeking a QA Engineer / SDET with a security focus to test ClickHouse server, clients, and related services. You will write automated tests, perform AI-assisted security scans, and help maintain robust regression tests across environments while collaborating with a fully remote team.

You will engage in CVE triage, dependency scanning, and security-hardened testing using Docker, Linux, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on testing experience in DBMS, cloud services, storage, or operating systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Docker, Linux, and network security fundamentals.
• Experience with security testing including CVE triage, dependency scanning, and image scanning tools (Grype/Trivy).
• Excellent knowledge of Python, C++ and Bash scripting.
• Excellent coding skills and ability to write clean, efficient test code.
• Expert at designing enterprise-level functional tests for cloud services, client libraries, or APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions.
• Tenacious at breaking software and documenting bugs; adheres to test processes; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Test features in the ClickHouse server, client interfaces, and related services across environments.
• Write automated tests and run AI-assisted security scans; contribute to CVE scans.
• Turn validated findings into reliable regression tests.
• Work with open-source software and open testing practices; communicate with a remote team.
