  • Own and review key engineering deliverables including BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, stream tables, datasheets, control logic and operating procedures
  • Work closely with equipment vendors, integrators and external engineering partners through design and delivery
  • Lead and support equipment installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up
  • Develop commissioning procedures and support initial production campaigns and performance validation
  • Review calculations, reports and technical work completed by other engineers
  • Identify and solve technical challenges across process, chemical, mechanical and control systems
  • Mentor and develop engineers as the team grows, while remaining hands-on with technical problem solving
  • Work cross-functionally across R&D, Engineering and Operations to successfully transition technology into operation

Experience Required

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline
  • Ideally 10+ years of engineering experience within a process-heavy environment
  • Experience within sectors such as chemicals, petrochemicals, plastics, recycling, pulp & paper, carbon capture or related process industries
  • Strong experience taking technology through pilot, demonstration and/or commercial scale-up
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning, start-up and operational readiness
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs and equipment datasheets
  • Experience working with EPCs, equipment vendors and external engineering partners
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing engineers
  • Comfortable being a hands-on technical leader who can move between strategic project decisions and detailed engineering challenges
  • P.Eng. in British Columbia or eligible for registration
