Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Camp Maintenance Worker for remote camp facilities in Northwestern Ontario. The role covers preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and emergency responsiveness, in a fast-paced camp setting. You will work independently, with broad trade knowledge, and ensure continuous operations.

The position includes 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotations, meals and accommodations at site, and travel from designated hubs. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a general maintenance technician or equivalent hands-on role.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions.
• Valid full G/Class 5 or higher driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a practical, proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in remote or unsupervised conditions.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance & Repairs: perform site-wide maintenance and complete assigned projects; conduct inspections and preventative maintenance; troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems; carry out drywall, carpentry, painting, and general repairs; maintain HVAC systems and gas-fired appliances.
