Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced AWS ETL Data Engineer to join the Halifax, Canada team. The role focuses on designing scalable data pipelines using Spark, AWS Glue, and Lambda, building ETL/ELT processes across AWS platforms, and ensuring privacy and data governance compliance.

The candidate will develop Redshift SQL/PLSQL code, tune queries, and support ingestion of diverse data formats while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remote-friendly with Canada coverage.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehouse / Big Data ecosystems.
• 5+ years in a lead / SME role.
• 5+ years with AWS architecture and data engineering (S3, EC2, Redshift, AWS Glue, Lambda, Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, AWS Glue, and Lambda.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes across AWS platforms (S3, Hive, Iceberg, Redshift).
• Develop and maintain Redshift SQL/PLSQL code, stored procedures, and data-processing frameworks.
• Perform query tuning and performance optimization.
• Ingest and process structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, CSV, XML, ORC, Parquet, Avro).
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define scalable data solutions.
• Manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) and privacy compliance with the DPO team.
