Job summary

Outlier, an AI training platform owned by Scale AI, offers flexible, freelance opportunities for reviewing AI-generated media. You will engage in live English conversations with AI voice models, rate outputs, and explain observed issues, all on your own schedule.

Contributors review images, videos, captions, and audio, with payments up to USD 15 per hour and weekly payout cycles. This is a 1099 contract opportunity open to applicants globally, including Canada and the US.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations.
• Experience writing concise, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.
• Nice to have: pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree or above.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models and ranking naturalness, usefulness, and clarity.
• Comparing AI-generated images and videos and judging which better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs for issues like distorted anatomy, flickering, or audio-visual misalignment and describing them in writing.
• Rating outputs across dimensions and writing concise explanations in English.
