Job summary

Scale AI's Outlier platform seeks detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. You will roleplay live conversations with an AI voice model, score exchanges, and explain errors in writing, remotely and on your own schedule.

As part of Outlier, you’ll help shape how advanced AI systems reason, learn, and improve. This is a freelance, 1099 contract role with flexible hours and weekly payments, offering additional incentives based on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the patience to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Comfortable making a clear decision when both options have flaws.
• Nice to have: pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree or above.

Responsibilities

• Hold live English conversations with AI voice models and rank naturalness and usefulness.
• Compare AI-generated images and videos and judge prompt adherence.
• Inspect outputs to spot distortions, flicker, text or audio mismatches.
• Write concise explanations describing what you saw or heard.
