The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree, 8+ years in agricultural consulting, and strong skills in communication, data analysis, and remote advisory services.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in agricultural consulting, farm management, or advisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of diverse agricultural systems relevant to South Africa.
• Ability to analyze complex agricultural data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills.
• Experience in remote client management and advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote consultation on crop management, soil health, irrigation and pest control.
• Analyze farm operations to identify efficiency and sustainability improvements.
• Advise on adoption of precision farming tools and data management systems.
• Develop customized business/financial plans to boost profitability and resilience.
• Stay informed on market demands, regulations, and best practices in agriculture.
• Deliver virtual training sessions and workshops for clients.
