Best Buy Canada in Vancouver is seeking a detail‑oriented financial analyst to support SOX controls under U.S. GAAP. You will manage journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis while ensuring accuracy across systems.

You’ll support consignment inventory, expense allocation, and reporting to drive business decisions in a remote‑first environment. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience understanding controls, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Post-secondary degree, preferably in Accounting.
• Second-year CPA program.
• Familiarity with SQL and Oracle Cloud is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial data, including journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage consignment inventory accounting processes, vendor reconciliations, inventory balancing across systems, and discrepancy resolution.
• Oversee allocation of freight, storage, and Markdown expenses, and develop reporting for business decisions.
• Design and improve reconciliation templates, reporting, and data extraction processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with stakeholders to investigate issues and provide data-driven recommendations, supporting process improvements.
• Leverage financial systems knowledge (Oracle and RMS assets) within a collaborative, high-performing team.
