Acadia Broadcasting is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Halifax, NS. This remote, full-time role supports the full cycle of accounting, reporting, and reconciliation while pursuing the CPA designation.

You will manage corporate cards and employee expenses, assist with accounts payable, and perform ad-hoc financial analysis. The company offers a robust support program to enable success in your CPA journey.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related field is required.
• 1–2 years in a similar role or co-op experience is an asset.
• Working toward accounting designation (CPA) is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Supports full cycle accounting, recording, reporting, and reconciliation of financial activities.
• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and reconciliations for payables, receivables, expenses and assets.
• Manages corporate credit cards and employee expense reports in line with policies.
• Performs financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting.
• Assists with accounts payable queries and processing.
• Collaborates with other departments to capture and classify expenses.
• Assists with preparation of documentation for audits and reporting.
• Suggests process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Other duties as required.
