Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking an Accommodations Manager to oversee housekeeping, janitorial and front desk operations at the lodge. You will lead a team, coach staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and ensure safety and quality standards.

This role emphasizes profitability, cost control, and effective execution of business plans, with opportunities to contribute to labor planning, trainings, and process improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• OSSA BSO (OSSA/CSTS) or Common Safety Orientation required.
• Proven management, budgeting and scheduling experience.
• Experience leading a unionized workforce, preferably in remote and dispatched operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate operational changes to grow housing and housekeeping operations.
• Ensure operations are profitable through business plans, marketing, staffing, scheduling and cost management.
• Hire, train, develop, motivate, and discipline direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Health and Safety programs and WHMIS.
• Coordinate inspections and WHMIS training of staff; conduct daily inspections and audits.
• Lead communication of safety information across platforms; participate in FLHA reviews.
• Oversee labour planning, reporting, inventory, invoicing, payroll, scheduling and LOAs.
• Develop training materials and manage interviews, meetings, investigations and performance plans.
