Atomic Cartoons, a BC-based animation studio, is seeking a skilled 2DDesigner to create characters and props for a forthcoming production. The role emphasizes collaboration, strong art fundamentals, and the ability to work within our established design workflow.

Candidates should showcase a broad portfolio, including both cartoon and realistic styles, and be comfortable using Maya and Blender. Remote options within BC are available along with hybrid/in-studio choices in Vancouver.

Qualifications

• Prior experience on a 2D animated series or feature in a character design role.
• Strong portfolio showing understanding of structure, composition and design principles.
• Diverse portfolio with cartoon and realistic styles; includes character design examples.

Responsibilities

• Design diverse characters and props for a 2D production.
• Work efficiently within the established workflow.
• Participate in department meetings as required.
• Take direction from the Art Director, Design Supervisor and Leads.
• Meet deadlines as assigned by production.
• Share ideas and collaborate with the design team.
