Job description

Position Summary: The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists in all aspects of pharmacy operations.

What you'll do:

1. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
6. Execute processes according to OBWs/SOPs.
7. Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.).
8. Protect patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations.
9. Ensure patients receive eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet their needs.
10. Follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program.
11. Travel to various locations as scheduled by the Relief program coordinator.
12. Develop collaborative relationships with healthcare providers within the store and community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Age: 16 or older

License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
