Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Relief Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join Carelife Fleetwood in Surrey, B.C. The role supports nursing care under the direction of the Manager and a multidisciplinary team, with responsibilities across assessments, planning, and patient-centred care.

The position offers a strong team environment, full scope of practice within BCCNM guidelines, and opportunities to contribute to continuous quality improvement while supporting a diverse patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients/residents and families' needs across physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual aspects.
• Provide a supportive environment and involve patients/families in health care decisions.
• Contribute to development and updates of the care plan in multidisciplinary settings.
• Administer nursing care per policies, record observations and report changes.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers per policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient safety by documenting care and ensuring equipment is functioning.
