Job summary

Quarry Consulting is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead Agile Release Train activities for a client. This role involves coordinating project delivery, coaching teams on Agile principles, and managing stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in program management and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. This is a contract position with a duration of 1 year, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software project support, including Program Management or RTE.
• Deep understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a matrixed environment.

Title : Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Duration : 1 Year

Start Date : ASAP

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) activities including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Support end-to-end project delivery: scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance tracking.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile and SAFe principles.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships; ensure clear communication and reporting.
• Drive adoption of SAFe across the organization and contribute to standardizing agile practices.
• Assist with project documentation, resource planning, and change management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

Required Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience in software project support, with at least 5 years in Program Management or as an RTE.
• Deep understanding of Agile / SAFe methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with tools like SharePoint, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a large, matrixed environment.
• Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in a professional services setting.

Preferred Qualifications :

• SAFe 5 RTE Certification is a plus.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Project, S4 HANA, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft suite.
• Experience working with Agile development processes.
• Educational background in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications.
