Job summary

Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) is seeking a Release Analyst to manage the release and change management lifecycle across its enterprise platforms. You will provide technical oversight and governance to deliver stable deployments, working with IT teams, vendors and business partners.

The role requires a university degree in CS or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ experience, plus strong communication and vendor-management skills. Based in St.

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or related discipline with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate deployment risks into business terms.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify issues, dependencies and improvements.
  • Experience monitoring vendor hours and ensuring service levels are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage request intake, triage, and prioritization for releases.
  • Conduct formal technical reviews of ROM estimates, COs, and vendor configurations.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management workflows across the tech stack.
  • Maintain documentation, procedures and runbooks; monitor deployment metrics and logs.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and perform impact assessments across processes and systems.
  • Mentor team members on release management procedures and contribute to SOW development.
