Job summary

Servus Credit Union in Canada’s Central Region is hiring a Relationship Manager - Agriculture & Agri-business to serve agricultural members with personalized advisory services and manage AG loans and deposits, driving sales and growth.

The role requires 3–5 years in AG banking and strong underwriting, business development, and relationship-building skills, with hybrid work options and potential to impact local communities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive lending and AG Banking experience.
• Experience in credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over 3–7 years.
• Business development, underwriting, compliance, and portfolio management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining effective sales and marketing efforts to maximize AG loan growth and deposits.
• Proactively building relationships with existing and future members.
• Staying up to date on lending and deposit services, products, policies, and legislation.
• Maximizing the existing portfolio including loan and deposit growth.
• Developing and submitting renewal applications.
• Recommending rates within discretionary limits and approving loans within lending authority.
• Evaluating requests on policy, risk, and profitability.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President - Agriculture, your primary goal is to deliver personalized advice to agriculture members. As an Agriculture and Agri-business Relationship Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of AG loans and deposits and be accountable for sales, service and growth of that portfolio. Using your agriculture/credit underwriting banking experience, you will cultivate strong working relationships with potential and existing members, the retail branch network, local business owners, and members of the professional community.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining effective sales and marketing efforts to maximize AG Loan growth, deposit growth and sales of peripheral products to help our members succeed in business
• Proactively building relationships with existing and future members
• Staying up to date on lending and deposit services, products, policies, and legislation
• Maximizing our existing portfolio including loan and deposit growth
• Developing and submitting renewal applications
• Recommending rates within discretionary limits and approving loans within lending authority
• Evaluating requests on the basis of policy, risk, and profitability

What You Bring

• 3 to 5 years of progressive lending and AG Banking experience
• Demonstrated ability in all facets of credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over a three-to-seven-year period
• Business development, underwriting, compliance, and a basic knowledge of portfolio management
• Experience working and developing relationships with members, potential members, influential community people and employees
• University degree in a business discipline or sufficient experience in lieu of education
