Job summary

Raymond James Ltd. Correspondent Services is seeking a Relationship Associate to manage service relationships with Custody and Introducer clients and to assist in transitioning new clients to the firm.

Reporting to the Client Experience Manager RJCS, you will support inquiries, coordinate with vendors, and help ensure timely solutions while maintaining high-quality client service in a regulated, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year related experience in operations of a national investment dealer, a correspondent clearing firm or other financial services firms.
  • Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Excellent customer service abilities gained from direct, client-facing experiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, multi-tasking with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, demanding environment with attention to detail.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Discretion with confidential information.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • Dataphile experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key contact for Correspondent clients, addressing inquiries on RJCS processes, regulatory issues, troubleshooting, and service matters.
  • Elevate issues, exceptions, or delays to ensure timely resolution and adherence to procedures.
  • Coordinate with third‑party vendors to meet client needs and department requirements.
  • Follow departmental guidelines for client communication and engagement.
  • Provide training and ongoing support on procedures and products.
  • Monitor client control accounts and review bulk trading and allocation processing.
  • Manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support project implementation through coordination and ongoing assistance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Relationship Associate, Correspondent Services- 12 Month Contract
How does the role impact the organization?

Raymond James Correspondent Services, a division of Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a Correspondent Services Relationship Associate to join our team. Raymond James Correspondent Services is one of Canada’s premier providers of clearing and custody solutions to independent Financial Advisors and Portfolio Managers.

As a key contributor to the Raymond James Correspondent Services (RJCS) team you will manage the service relationship with existing Custody and Introducer clients and assist in the transition of new clients to the firm. Reporting to the Client Experience Manager RJCS, you will contribute to the ongoing growth and development of a highly efficient and effective team. As first-class client service is the top priority, this position requires an ability to work in a unique pressure-oriented environment where inherent processing and regulatory rules and deadlines require very strong problem solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills.

What will your role be responsible for?
  • Serve as a key point of first contact for our Correspondent clients, responding to inquiries regarding RJCS business processes, regulatory issues, troubleshooting, and general service matters.
  • Proactively elevate issues, exceptions, or delays to ensure timely resolution and adherence to procedures.
  • Liaise with third‑party vendors to coordinate external services as required to meet client needs and department
  • Follow departmental best‑practice guidelines for communication and client engagement.
  • Provide clients with initial training and ongoing support on new and existing procedures and products.
  • Monitor client‑related control accounts and review client bulk trading and allocation processing.
  • Manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and time delivery.
  • Support project implementation through coordination and ongoing assistance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range:

$50,000-58,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
