Qualifications

  • One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Holds Valid BC Security Guard License with applicable handcuff endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce security of persons and property per policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Operate related security equipment as required.

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Relational Security Services Officer to fill a position at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC).

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Relational Security Services Officer maintains and enforces security of persons and property in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualfications
  • Grade 12, successful completion of recognized Basic and Advances Security Training certification.
  • One-year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Holds Valid BC Security Guard License with applicable handcuff endorsement.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
