CBI Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) for the Chatham-Kent region. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to support clients at home with mobility and daily living activities.

You will prepare clients for treatment, progress programs, and assist with therapy sessions and equipment management. A valid driver's license and knowledge of assistive devices are required.

Competenze

• Post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA).
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle are required.
• General knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team and independently.

Mansioni

• Prepare clients for treatment and progress them through treatment programs.
• Assist with and/or teach therapy programs and activities of daily living.
• Assist in the use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
• Apply modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, IFC, EMS, TENS, and Low Intensity.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per visit

What you will need to be successful

• You possess a post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
• Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance, and reliable vehicle is required
• You have a general knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment
• Your focus is to embrace and support person and family-centered care
• You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making decisions
• You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independantly
• You value the role a therapist plays in keeping clients at home when that is of personal importance

What's the role:

• Prepare clients for treatment and progress clients through treatment programs
• Assist with and/or teach client therapy programs and training activities of daily living, including the use of assistive equipment and balance training
• Assist in the use of therapeutic equipment including set up, take down, and cleaning/disinfecting. Ensure equipment is in good working order
• Apply modalities, including but not limited to heat, ice, ultrasound, IFC, EMS, TENS, and Low Intensity
• Responsible for writing clear professional, objective and accurate documentation in client communication records
