Job summary

Shared Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant/OTA/PTA-eligible individual to join our Selkirk Mental Health Centre team. The position supports patient care within RA scope, works with an inter-professional team, and requires strong communication and confidentiality.

Education includes Manitoba high school completion and an RA or OTA/PTA program; graduates of international PT/OT programs are encouraged to apply. Work is in person with standard 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school as per Manitoba standards.
• Successful completion of a recognized RA program with practicum, or OTA/PTA program.
• Graduates of International PT/OT programs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within RA scope of practice, with supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with inter-professional healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety in all tasks.
• Participate in ongoing education and self-development opportunities.
