Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Rehabilitation Services team in Kitimat. Under supervision of the manager and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and support patient progression.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 16:15. The role requires completing a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program, a BC driver’s license, and strong communication, organization, and equipment operation skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs.
• Assist with monitoring patients' progression under supervision of the appropriate therapist or designate.
• Support the operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.
• Act as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting client needs.

Position Summary

Are you a Rehabilitation Assistant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client, and supporting the operations of the service/program. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assists with monitoring patients'/residents' progression under the supervision of, and as assigned by, the responsible therapist or appropriate designate. Under the general direction of the supervising manager, the Rehabilitation Assistant also supports the operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Monday to Friday, Days - 08:15 to 16:15

Qualfications

• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid B.C. Driver's License as required.
