APEGA in Edmonton, AB, Canada seeks an experienced Individual Practice Advisor (Engineer or Geoscientist) to manage registrant annual requirements, CPD program, and reinstatements. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and professional practice standards in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Reporting to the Individual Practice Manager, you will lead reviews, develop seminars, and advise on regulatory interpretation to support licensed professionals and maintain public safety and professional

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer or Geoscientist registered with APEGA or eligible for membership in APEGA.
• Extensive experience in engineering/geoscience regulatory environments and practice standards.
• Strong ability to interpret legislation and apply regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in leadership, stakeholder engagement and policy development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Registrant Management Policies for reinstatements, resumptions, and CPD compliance.
• Conduct individual practice reviews and prepare reports for the Practice Review Board.
• Develop and deliver professional practice seminars and training materials.
• Provide assessments of registrant suitability to enter practice and maintain competencies.
• Advise on regulatory interpretation and support related regulatory functions.
• Manage CPD program, Good Standing Policy and practice review plans.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
