Job summary

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is seeking a content developer to oversee NPPE examination materials. The role focuses on constructing, validating, and maintaining high-quality exam content for professional registration in Canada.

You will work with PPESG, psychometricians, and regulators to ensure defensible questions, alignment with competency models, and secure workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in communications, public relations, or journalism.
• 5–8 years of related experience in communication, exam content, or project coordination.
• Experience facilitating collaboration with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of writing standards, ethics, and professional practice expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, validate, and maintain examination content for professional licensure.
• Conduct research and analysis to draft new NPPE questions.
• Perform item analysis and recommend revisions based on performance data.
• Incorporate PPESG feedback and ensure alignment with blueprint standards.
• Prepare revised drafts for PPESG review and field testing.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts and committees to develop content.
