Job summary

FSRA seeks a detail-oriented analyst to review licence and registration applications from financial services intermediaries regulated by FSRA. You will assess compliance with acts, regulations, and FSRA policies, and provide advisory services to applicants and their representatives.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, collaboration with team members, and the ability to prepare reports and presentations for stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, public policy or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of regulatory licensing experience.
• Experience in mortgage sector is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Reviews licence and registration applications from financial services intermediaries to identify issues and ensure compliance with acts and FSRA policies.
• Approves or recommends denial of applications based on requirements and legislation.
• Prepares reports on policy, compliance, risk management and enforcement issues.
• Acts as an expert witness at legal hearings/court proceedings when needed.
• Interprets FSRA legislation, policies and procedures for applicants and representatives.
