Senior Compliance Officer – 6-Month Contract | Hybrid | Downtown Toronto

Our client—a leading force in the financial services sector—is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join their Compliance & Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) team. This is a high-impact contract role within a dynamic 60-person department, offering valuable exposure to senior leadership and regulatory oversight across global business lines.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the Compliance and EAML Examination Program (CEEP), you will lead regulatory compliance assessments with a focus on OSFI E-13 and Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) policy requirements. You will be instrumental in identifying compliance gaps, evaluating control effectiveness, and delivering actionable insights to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute compliance examinations from planning to reporting
• Assess the operational effectiveness of regulatory compliance controls
• Identify areas of non-compliance and propose actionable improvements
• Draft comprehensive reports and collaborate with stakeholders on remediation plans
• Support other initiatives within the broader CEEP portfolio

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or a regulatory function
• Deep understanding of OSFI E-13 and RCM frameworks
• Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Background in banking or governance-related roles
• University degree or college diploma

Nice to Have:

• CPA, CIA, or relevant certification
• Prior experience in financial services or large banking environments
