Job description

Are you passionate about food safety, thrive on precision, and love solving regulatory puzzles?

At FG Deli, we don't just make great food—we ensure it's safe, compliant, and trusted by everyone who enjoys it. We're looking for a sharp, curious, and detail-driven Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to be a key player on our Quality Assurance team.

What You’ll Do

As our Regulatory Compliance Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring every label tells the truth and every ingredient meets the mark. You’ll bridge the gap between FG Deli and agencies like the CFIA and USDA—keeping our products in line with strict food safety regulations and our quality promise.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

Label Compliance

  • Review, validate, and register product labels and recipes with USDA and other agencies
  • Assess risks tied to ingredient and label changes
  • Own the internal label approval process—because every detail matters
  • Keep detailed label approval records at your fingertips

Vendor Assessment & Product Specifications

  • Evaluate supplier audits and product specs—ensuring our standards are always met or exceeded
  • Maintain product info, from ingredients and nutritional data to supplier qualifications
  • Confirm product eligibility for international export requirements

Documentation & Administration

  • Stay on top of project tracking, QA documentation, and specification updates
  • Keep our HACCP records organized, accessible, and audit-ready

Teamwork & Communication

  • Collaborate closely with teams across departments
  • Contribute ideas and support cross-functional improvement projects

HACCP & SQF Compliance

  • Help implement and train teams on food safety protocols and regulatory updates
  • Support audits, internal verifications, and ensure we exceed SQF and HACCP standards

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Post-secondary education in Food or Nutritional Sciences
  • Solid understanding of food manufacturing regulations (CFIA, USDA, HACCP)
  • Experience with nutrition labeling (Genesis software & USDA EZ Form a plus!)
  • Detail-obsessed with outstanding accuracy and documentation skills
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative spirit
  • Strong MS Office skills and a cool head in a fast-paced environment

Why You’ll Love Working Here:
